On the night of the Celebration as you enter the Narthex, a robed mannequin of Mary Magdalene will greet you and ask “Who are The Magdalene’s in your life?” You will have an opportunity to write their names on a new Women’s Altar Cloth that will be used in future services at North honoring women.
“It Takes a Village/We Are One” is the theme of this year’s Celebration. We will have lots of music provided by the volunteer Mary Magdalene Chorus, and an ensemble from the Columbus Women’s Chorus is presenting two offerings. If you would like to sing with us, please contact Johnny Steiner (johnnysteiner@att.net). Singers eat for free! The Congregation will be our Village and as Elders will offer their wisdom and voice throughout the Celebration. Elder Deb Riley will lead a Teaching Moment,“The Sun Shines on Everyone,” with our Youth. Executive Chef Reneé Bean provides another incredible Feast! During the Feast you will eat yummy food and have an opportunity to get to know members of the greater Columbus Community and beyond, who attend the Mary Magdalene Celebration.
