Hundreds gathered together at Christ the King Catholic Church on Monday, November 16th for the B.R.E.A.D. Annual Assembly. We heard an exciting update from the C.E.O. of the A.D.A.M.H. Board, David Royer, on our “Care, Not Crisis!” campaign that has won 3 new community treatment teams and an accredited clubhouse that will help people with mental illness find the care they need! The Director of Public Safety, George Speaks, heard our cries that “The Violence Must Stop!” and came to give an update on the implementation of the C.I.R.V. program. We also celebrated that we’ve raised over $100,000 in the Investment Drive, saw 2 new groups become members of B.R.E.A.D. (St. Christopher Catholic Church + Capital University’s S.L.I.C.E.), and we installed new officers for 2016. After our congregation caucuses, we announced that the new community problem that we’ll tackle in 2016 is… Jobs & Economic Opportunity! Visit the B.R.E.A.D. Facebook page for more information.
