On March 10 we hosted a public forum to share our experiences in providing Sanctuary to undocumented persons who are under threat of deportation and family separation due to our broken and unjust immigration system.
We partnered with three other faith communities: Columbus Mennonite Church (hosting Edith Espinal in Sanctuary) First English Lutheran Church (housing Miriam Vargas in Sanctuary, and First Unitarian Universalist Church (assisting both CMC and FELC).
More than 90 people gathered to listen, to learn, and we hope, to become involved in this growing justice movement in Columbus and beyond.
