Climate Crisis: Where We Are, What Can We Do?

Mary DeLamatre is back from the Climate Reality Project Leadership Training she attended in Atlanta and will be sharing what she learned on Sunday, May 19, 2019, immediately following the 10:30 service in Fellowship Hall. The Climate Reality Project was started in 2006 by Al Gore just after he released his movie “An Inconvenient Truth,” that awakened the world to the problem of climate change.  The three-day training that Mary attended addressed the current state of the climate crisis, the status of solar and wind power, the many other ways to avert the climate crisis, and what we all can do to make a difference.  She also attended an interfaith service on the moral call for climate change at Ebenezer Baptist Church and learned more about the crossover between environmental justice and the climate crisis. Please join Mary on Sunday, May 19, to hear her presentation.  Lunch will be provided BUT we need you to RSVP to Susan Kinzer at 614-451-1835 or skinzer@midohio.twcbc.comby May 15.
