The Women of North Church are bringing a Little Free Library to North Church. It will be registered with Little Free Library, so our church will be one of over 150,000 libraries in 120 countries sharing over three million books. The mission is “Building Community, Inspiring Readers, and Expanding Book Access.” The cost for the library and supplies is approximately $800. As a kick-off fundraiser we are planning a book sale on Saturday, June 3, from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the north side parking lot open to the public. So, calling all North Church folks! Please bring your gently used or new books to church beginning the week of April 24. Place your books in the appropriate box which will be labeled: adult fiction, adult non-fiction (including biographies/memoirs), young adult, and primary (picture books, chapter books, etc.).
Once done, the Library Free Library will be placed near the playground to the north of the parking lot. This location will ensure that families who use our playground will have easy access to the books.
