The teachers at the Just North Christian Childcare have organized their annual Reverse Advent Calendar. Each week day from November 27 (Monday) thru December 20 (Wednesday), JNCC families have been asked to bring in the items listed below. All are welcome to contribute!
There will be a shopping cart out front to put the donations in during the morning drop off. At the end we will take all of the donations to the Southside Community Ministries Food Pantry. During a season that can sometimes be all about receiving, we thought this might be a fun way to help teach the children about giving.
Items:
November 27- box of cereal
November 28- peanut butter & plastic bottle of jelly
November 29- ramen noodles & canned broth
November 30- boxed potatoes & boxed pasta
December 1- “just add water” macaroni and cheese
December 4- canned fruits & canned vegetables
December 5- cooking oil & boxed milk
December 6- canned tuna/chicken
December 7- canned soup & bagged rice
December 8- applesauce (jar or cups)
December 11- canned pasta & spices
December 12- pre-made jello cups
December 13- cake mix & frosting
December 14- oatmeal or rolled oats
December 15- travel size hygiene products
December 18- toothbrush & toothpaste
December 19- toilet paper
December 20- small packages of tissues
