July 11
“End of Life Issues and Expressing Your Wishes”
Our first session will examine the complexity of ethical issues surrounding decisions about end of life care. Emphasis will be on individuals clearly making their wishes about medical care known to their medical providers and loved ones. Examples are: What is best for my loved one now? When do I stop aggressive care? When do I remove the breathing tube?
July 18
“Important Legal Documents: Power of Attorney, Advance Directives, Living Will”
This session will take an in-depth look at the specific legal documents that adults of every age should have on file with their healthcare providers as well as with their loved ones.
July 25
“Getting Started”
Our final session will be an “action session” in which a team of healthcare professionals will be available to address specific questions and assist participants in completing their own legal documents regarding medical care and end of life care.
Caring Ministry at North Church
enhances and sustains our caring community by equipping members to support individuals and families in need.
Caring Ministries
As caring ministers, we broaden the informal caring ministry that is already present, and seek to fill any gaps. We wish to provide a connective tissue, so that no one is forgotten.
