by Jim Antal will be the book used for WEBS this fall beginning Wednesday, September 18 thru November 13 at 7:00 pm
This book is written by UCC minister, Rev. Jim Antal, who has worked in the field of environmentalism for 20 years.
“WHY should people of faith engage the moral challenge of climate change and HOW should we do it?” “Climate Change, Climate World” answers these questions and empowers readers to join others in taking action. We can expand the Golden Rule to include future generations. We can shift our focus from personal salvation to collective salvation. Because climate change amplifies all forms of injustice – hunger, refugees, racism, poverty, inequality, deadly viruses, war – defense of creation is a campaign for justice. By reorienting what we prize through new approaches to worship, preaching, witnessing, and other spiritual practices, we can honor creation as we cultivate hope and discover new joy.”
I discovered this book at General Synod 32 in Milwaukee and heard him speak. Jim Antal is also speaking to the Ohio Conference Gathering at Westerville Community UCC on Sept 27-28.
The book is available online from Amazon and Barnes and Noble for $25.00.
